Let’s get that story out of your head and onto the page | Editor, Creative Writer, Author, & Coach

I’m currently in a “transition mode” - going I’m currently in a “transition mode” - going from a busy/fun spring break trip with my whole family (where it feels like time stops for a bit) to returning to the “real world” and our usual routine. It’s like my brain is in one place (planning for the week) while my body is still trying to catch up! What a week it was: go, go, go… but we had so much fun. So thankful for this week with my family 💖#SpringBreak #MomLife #LifeWithKids
Excuse me for my lack of posting about writing and Excuse me for my lack of posting about writing and all that jazz. My family and I have been busy out in California, exploring LA and visiting some theme parks. I’ll be back to sharing about my forthcoming book, writing tips and tricks… and new writing prompts and other goodies soon! So other than the occasional Insta story and my scheduled Substack newsletter, see ya next week!
For years, I’ve wanted a tattoo… and today I f For years, I’ve wanted a tattoo… and today I finally got one 🥰 I designed it myself, a sigil I created to remind myself of the phrase, “and then…”It’s my way of reminding myself that this too shall pass and we gotta keep moving forward. 💖Thanks @andyisashark @alchemytattoogallery for my first tattoo! I adore it.
When I was a young mom, I had such a hard time fin When I was a young mom, I had such a hard time finding the time to write. Gone were the days I spent hours immersed in the worlds of my characters. My 28-Day Creative Spark Workbook is a collection of journal prompts, motivational quotes, and affirmations designed to spark your writing practice.Grab the workbook from a link in my bio. 🥰#MomLife #WritingCommunityPhoto credit: @blondieandbears

My journal is my safe place. My place to tinker wi My journal is my safe place. My place to tinker with ideas and explore big ideas and worlds without fear of judgement. It’s not a draft of a story. Heck, sometimes it’s nothing more than an observation. But it’s a playground where I can turn off my inner editor and just… have fun.Do you journal? The support and congrats I’ve received over the The support and congrats I’ve received over the last few days about my book contract has been incredible… but you know what I’ve enjoyed even more? The messages I’ve received from people telling me about their own dreams of writing and publishing. These dreams are BEAUTIFUL.And it makes me wonder… why do we hide our creative dreams away? Is it a form of protection? Is it because we don’t take ourselves seriously? Is it because we fear we might fail? Or is it simply because we fear what people might think? (I ask because I’ve felt all of this at some point in time). Today, I challenge you: speak your dreams out loud… even if you don’t want to share on social media (which I 100% understand), say them out loud to yourself.Write them down.Close your eyes, and picture it.Giving yourself permission to dream big is nearly always the first step. And if you ever want to talk about writing and creativity? Know my inbox is always open.#Writing #Creativity #DreamBig
