5 Steps: From Ideas to Action

February 5, 2016 by Liz SanFilippo Hall

Raise your hand if you have all these ideas in your head, but they’re just that… ideas. That used to be me -- I’ll admit -- most of the time. I had all these grand ideas and plans. They ranged from the mundane, like creating and sticking to a cleaning schedule, to the grand, like creating a hot dog food tour. (I really did toss this idea around, because -- for real -- people take their Chicago hot … [Read more...]

20 Things Mom Say to Themselves

A couple weekends ago, before heading out of town, I needed to get Kafka the bulldog over to his DogVacay sitter who lived a good four miles away. This didn’t used to be a big deal. I’d throw his travel kennel, food, and toys into the car, load the dog up, and go. Not anymore. With Little Miss in the equation, combined with city living -- aka, my car is parked out on the street -- things are a … [Read more...]

In fact, I’d say it’s the exact opposite. 2016, for me, will be a year of personal development (which you’ll hear a lot about on this blog). One of my friends and co-workers blogged about this very subject … [Read more...]

Introducing Stories of Success (and Inspiration)

December 30, 2015 by Liz SanFilippo Hall

stories of success header

I love being inspired. I love hearing how people have succeeded in their own life, and how they created their business -- and in turn, found their wings and created a life built on their own terms. But it isn't just the success that inspires me. Rather, what's truly fascinating is their path to success. For starters, there's no one single right way. No matter how brilliant, no matter how … [Read more...]

How do you recharge?

December 17, 2015 by Liz SanFilippo Hall

If you’ve been wondering where I’ve been, I’m not quite sure where the time went! When I started this blog I had a plan: I’d blog at least once or twice a week. Not all posts would be long, but I had a HUGE list of topics so I figured: easy peasy, right? Wrong! Life has been insanely hectic lately. October through December is the busy season for my makeup business, as people are throwing … [Read more...]
